My review methodology

I rank casinos by their Trust Score, with a maximum score of 100 points.

Trust Score = Community Score + My Score

Community Score is calculated from online player sentiment. I manually fetch positive, mixed and negative comments from Reddit, Bitcointalk and other forums, and calculate the score. The maximum is 50 points.

My Score is defined by my personal first-hand reviews. I have clear guidelines, why some casino gets for example 10/10 on Usability & Support, but 5.5/10 on Games. The maximum is also 50 points.

1. Community Score

To get the Community Scores, I manually search for experiences on different casinos on Google. I also do extensive searches inside Reddit’s search function to find all relevant threads and posts. The maximum Community Score is 50 points.

Some casinos also have long Bitcointalk threads full of trustworthy comments. Bitcointalk’s reputation system is really hard to fake. I can easily ignore messages from low merit and activity users if needed.

I usually also look into casinos’ Trustpilot pages for additional info on reputation. Since the reviews there are so easy to fake, I don’t take them into the Community Score calculations.

I may also look into few other Bitcoin or crypto forums, if they contain legit comments about a casino.

Collecting the player experiences

• I manually copy-paste all relevant and legit messages from different forums to a one TXT file on each casino.
• The timeframe is usually maximum of 24 months, to stay relevant. For some casinos, 12 months is enough if the legit messages count is already high on that time frame.
• I leave out all clearly bot, spam and low-value messages. I also don’t count messages with affiliate links or promo codes. I also don’t take anything on other casino review sites, as they might have their own agendas which I don’t know about.
• When I have enough legit experiences and comments on a casino, I calculate the Community Score.

Community Score calculation

I don’t just calculate a simple percentage from positive comments.

If a casino had only one positive review, that would give the casino a score of 100%. That would not be very useful.

Instead, I use a so called Bayesian Score formula. This “weights” the results, so a casino has to earn its high score through a high volume of real player experiences.

A positive comment counts as 1, and a mixed comment counts as 0.5 score in the numerator (still counts as a full message in the denumerator).

A mixed comment means, that it may contain some positive things, and some negative things. I think it’s still fair to give the casino 0.5 points from mixed comments, as they are not fully negative. So the casino has done something right.

Still, positive comments have the biggest value if for a casino to obtain a high Community Score.

Here’s an example A for Community Score calculation

• Let’s say a Casino A got only 3 positive, 1 mixed and 1 negative comments (so a total of 5 comments).
• There would be 3/5 = 60% positive sentiment if using just a simple calculation.
• Let’s see what my Community Score formula outputs here:

So, the result here would be not 60%, but “only” 28.3/50, which is a good thing in my opinion with so low comment volume.

Here’s the example B for Community Score calculation

Let’s boost up the comment counts.

• Now the Casino B got 30 positive, 10 mixed and 10 negative comments (so a total of 50 comments).
• There would be a 30/50 = 60% positive sentiment if once again we used a simple calculation.
• Let’s see what my Community Score formula outputs this time:

The result with a higher amount of comments (with the same ratio) would be a Community Score of 33.3/50.

I guess you got a grip of the idea.

For 300 positive, 100 mixed and 100 negative comments the Community Score would be even higher, 34.8/50.

For a casino with 0 comments (like a brand new casino), the Community Score starts with 25/50 (because of the 5 in the numerator and the 10 in the denumerator).

In a nutshell: Each casino has to earn a good Community Score by having a lot of legit positive comments online. Just few positive comments don’t take the Community Score to a maximum, which wouldn’t be fair.

Next, let’s take a look on how my personal reviews form into a My Score.

2. My Score

Here are the rating criteria for all categories, that form My Score. The maximum My Score is 50 points.

My Score is split into 5 different major categories:

1. Bonuses: Max 10 points
2. Deposits & withdrawals: Max 10 points
3. Games: Max 10 points
4. Usability & support: Max 10 points
5. Security & transparency: Max 10 points

2.1 Bonuses

This category consists of 3 subcategories: Bonus wagering, Bonus value and Bonus terms.

Bonus wagering (Max 5 points)

Bonus wagering subcategory rates, how good the bonus wagering terms are. Are the bonuses reasonable to play through (wager), or are the terms unfair?

Points	Bonus wagering criteria
5 pts	Flawless: 0x – 14x wagering (rakeback or no-wager cashback).
4 pts	Low wagering: 15x to 35x bonus amount.
3 pts	Average wagering: 36x to 40x bonus. Average difficulty to clear, but still somewhat fair.
2 pts	High wagering: 41x to 45x bonus. Hard to clear.
1 pt	Very high wagering: 46x to 50x bonus. Very hard to clear.
0 pts	Chaotic evil wagering terms: Over 50x bonus, or tricky “Deposit + Bonus” multipliers (like 40x D+B equals an effective 80x bonus).

Bonus value (Max 2 points)

Bonus value tells how good the bonuses are, for value. In my opinion, bonuses should have a high max cap, to suit all kinds of players. The higher the better of course.

2 pts	High value: Match bonus capped at 1+ BTC / $2,500+ (100%+ match), OR 10%+ rakeback / 20%+ cashback.
1 pt	Medium value: Match bonus capped between $500 and $1,500 with a 100%+ match.
0 pts	Low value: Caps under $500, match rates below 100%, or small free vouchers.

Note: For simplicity, I decided to exclude free spins out of the bonus value rating, as they usually have high wagering requirements for possible wins, and the wins are usually capped to quite low sum.

Bonus terms (Max 3 points)

The last subcategory on bonuses rates the general bonus terms, other than wagering-related.

3 pts	Player-friendly: Low min deposit (≤$20), long expiry (14–30+ days), standard game contributions, and no max-win caps.
2 pts	Reasonable: Fair rules, but with 1 major restriction (like a short 7-day expiry for bonuses).
1.5 pts	Restricted: Many restrictions (like short expiry + strict spin terms) OR intrusive Tier-4 KYC demands for a small no-deposit bonus (like on Crypto.games).
1 pt	Unfair: Many unfair terms, like max-win caps and massive lists of excluded games.
0 pts	Chaotic evil bonus terms: Many major unfair terms, (like max cashout strictly capped at 1x the bonus amount).

2.2 Deposits & withdrawals

This category consists of 4 subcategories: Deposits, Withdrawals, Withdrawal limits & terms and Crypto support.

Deposits (Max 2 points)

Points	Deposits criteria
+1 pts	No fees: Deposits are free, and the minimum deposit amount is low and accessible (around $10 or less).
+1 pts	Cashier: The deposit screen is easy to use, instantly generates your deposit address, and gives clear warnings so you don’t accidentally send anything to wrong network.

Withdrawals (Max 3 points)

Points	Withdrawals criteria
+1 pts	Instant, automated withdrawals: Small to mid-sized withdrawals go automatically through in minutes, not needing the casino staff to activate them.
+1 pts	No fees: The casino doesn’t take a percentage or flat fee off withdrawals. You pay only the basic crypto network fee.
+1 pts	Transparent tracking: Once you click withdraw, the history page gives you a direct blockchain link so you can see exactly where your money is going.
-0.5 pts	-0.5 Points can be deducted if withdrawal/s goes to manual review (Like the first withdrawal on Crypto.games).

Withdrawal limits & terms (Max 3 points)

Points	Withdrawal limits & terms cr.
+1 pts	High or no monthly withdrawal limits: At least $50,000+ a month.
+1 pts	Fair 1x AML rollover: You only have to play through your own deposited cash 1x before you can withdraw it (The standard AML = Anti money laundering rule).
+1 pts	Low minimum withdrawals: The minimum withdrawal limit is low (around $20 or less equivalent).

Crypto Support (Max 2 points)

Points	Crypto support criteria
+1 pts	Popular coins support: Support to all standard coins: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and stablecoins (like USDT/USDC).
+1 pts	Cheap network options OR something extra that other casinos don’t offer: Casino supports cheap networks (like TRC-20, BSC, or Polygon) so players don’t have to pay high Ethereum gas fees just to move stablecoins. Something extra may include coins like Crypto.games offers, like Shiba and Pepe, or something similar..

2.3 Games

This category consists of 5 subcategories: Games & providers, Live casino, Originals & fairness, RTP Transparency and Betting.

Games & providers (Max 3 points)

Points	Games & providers criteria
0 pts	Limited game selection (1-5 games total).
0.5 pts	Small selection (~10 games total, like with Crypto.games).
1 pts	Basic selection (~10 game providers and around 1,000 slots/games).
1.5 pt	Moderate selection (20-30 providers OR 1,000-2,000 games total).
2 pts	Strong selection (~50 providers with 2,000-5,000 games; or higher provider count but lower total games).
2.5 pts	Very strong selection (~50 providers and 5,000+ games available).
3 pts	Just awesome & best catalog (60+ providers and 6,000+ games; or 50 providers with an exceptional game count of 7,000+ like on BitStarz Casino).

Live casino (Max 2 points)

Points	Live casino criteria
0 pts	No live casino games available.
0.5 pts	Small selection of live casino games (only 1 provider).
1 pts	Standard selection (fewer providers, only 1 major provider, and NO provider-specific filtering/sorting tool, like with BitStarz Casino).
1.5 pt	Strong selection (fewer providers, only 1 major provider, but WITH clear navigation/sorting options).
2 pts	Just awesome live casino (4+ live casino providers available with 100+ active tables and great sorting options).

Originals & fairness (Max 2 points)

Points	Originals & fairness crit.
0 pts	No house originals available (only basic third-party slots with standard RTP).
0.5 pts	Small selection of house originals (~10 games) with low or undisclosed RTP.
1 pts	Good selection of house originals (15+ games) that are provably fair, but score is capped because RTP is hidden or difficult to find (like with Stake and Coins.game).
1.5 pt	Large selection of provably fair house originals, with easily accessible RTP on the 98%-98.5% side (like on BC.game and Wild.io).
2 pts	Just awesome selection: either the site is entirely custom/provably fair originals with high 99% RTP (like with Crypto.games), or offers an exceptional house originals section with 99% RTP clearly highlighted on screen (like on Cloudbet).

RTP Transparency (Max 2 points)

Points	RTP Transparency criteria
0 pts	No visible RTP information anywhere on the platform.
0.5 pts	Standard transparency (RTP is only visible inside individual game/slot information screens).
1 pts	Enhanced transparency (offers extra features like ‘Enhanced RTP’ sections, though definitions may be vague, or provides quick-access RTP for specific categories like house games).
1.5 pt	High transparency (like advanced tools like searching by high RTP slots, or displaying RTP directly on game thumbnails/menus).
2 pts	Absolute transparency (ability to sort ALL games on the platform by highest RTP, with values prominently displayed on game covers or a dedicated dashboard).

Betting (Max 1 point)

Points	Betting criteria
0 pts	No sports or esports betting options available.
0.5 pts	Partial sportsbook (offers betting exclusively for traditional sports OR exclusively for eSports).
1 pts	Full sportsbook (offers comprehensive betting markets for both traditional sports and eSports).

2.4 Usability & support

This category consists of 3 subcategories: Desktop usability, Mobile usability and Customer support.

Desktop usability (Max 3 points)

Points	Desktop usability criteria
+1 pts	Navigation & speed: The game lobby loads quickly, the search bar works instantly, and filters by provider or category work without lag.
+1 pts	Cashier Simplicity: The crypto deposit screen opens in 1–2 clicks, clearly displays the address/QR code, and easily shows supported networks (like ERC-20, TRC-20 etc.).
+1 pts	Visual polish: The layout is clean and easy to read. No stupid pop-ups that annoy everybody, or something else disturbing.

Mobile usability (Max 3 points)

Points	Mobile usability criteria
+1 pts	Responsive scaling: The site fits mobile screens perfectly with no horizontal scrolling. Buttons and links are easy to tap without misclicks.
+1 pts	Thumb-friendly layout: Most important features (Menu, Deposit, and Live chat) are easily reachable. If there’s a bottom navigation bar, that works flawlessly.
+1 pts	Mobile speed: Menu items are fast and different pages load also fast. Games launch smoothly in mobile browser without crashing or freezing.

Customer support (Max 4 points)

Customer support is divided into 2 subsub-categories: Support options and Support quality.

Support Options (1 Point)

Points	Support options criteria
1 pts	24/7 Live Chat + Email are both easily accessible to anyone (even without logging in).
0.5 pts	Email-only support, or live chat with limited opening hours.
0 pts	Support is hidden, links are broken, or they force you onto a third-party app (like Telegram) to get basic help.

Support Quality (3 Points)

Points	Support quality criteria
3 pts	Excellent support: The agent knows their stuff and answers clearly. The casino also passes my customer support test and the info matches the T&C.
2.5 pts	Good support: Excellent answers, but delay range from hours to max 24 hours (like on Crypto.games email support).
2 pts	Ok support: The agent gets the correct answer eventually, but uses a lot of copy-pasting. I have to ask my question many times to get the right answer, but answer is still correct.
1 pts	Poor support: The agent gives incorrect information, blindly goes to a wrong assumption, gets confused by basic bonus terms, or avoids the questions totally or answers partially. The answer is more wrong than right.
0 pts	Horrible support: Everything sucks on the support department, or just no answer after waiting for days.

2.5 Security & transparency

This category consists of 5 subcategories: Licensing & transparency, T&C Fairness, KYC Policy, Reputation & history and Responsible gambling.

Licensing & transparency (Max 2 points)

Points	Licensing & transparency cr.
2 pts	Legitimate corporate owner listed clearly in the footer, with a clickable casino license validator link. A bit stronger casino license from Curacao, Malta or similar.
1 pts	A license exists, but the corporate owners are hidden, OR the casino uses a weaker casino license (like Costa Rica, Anjouan or Isle of Man license).
0 pts	Completely anonymous operations with no licensing data or a fake/expired validator badge.

T&C Fairness (Max 2 points)

Points	T&C Fairness criteria
2 pts	Terms are clean. No predatory terms found, text is structured and easy to read.
1 pts	Minor issues. Contains 1 or 2 “Warning” flags (like a high deposit turnover or weird dormancy fees), but no major problems.
0 pts	Unfair terms. Contains even a single absolute red flag clause (like “balance confiscation at our sole discretion”). Or similar major problems in the terms.

KYC Policy (Max 2 points)

Points	KYC Policy criteria
2 pts	Full transparency. If it is a “No KYC” casino, the exact triggers for verification are stated (like hitting a specific cumulative withdrawal limit or security alert). If KYC is mandatory, the timeline and required documents are clear.
1 pts	Vague rules. The terms state they can ask for KYC “at any time for any reason” without providing clear parameters. But user history shows they process documents quickly, mostly without any bigger problems or complaints.
0 pts	Unknown or totally random KYC policy. The terms allow them to demand too extensive verification methods (like sending physical papers, demanding payroll checks, electric bills etc.). OR the KYC policy is totally inconsistent and random according to T&C, or public reputation online.

Reputation & history (Max 2 points)

Points	Reputation & history crit.
2 pts	Clean history: A trusted name in the crypto gambling community with no unresolved player disputes on major forums (Bitcointalk, Reddit etc.).
1 pts	Minor past incidents: Historical complaints regarding slow payments or communication breakdowns, but the operator actively stepped up and resolved them.
0 pts	A documented history of balance seizures, failed projects (like token launches with FortuneJack Casino), confirmed ties to exit scams, running rigged games or company bankruptcy issues (like with BC.game Casino).

Responsible gambling (Max 2 points)

Points	Responsible gambling crit.
2 pts	Extensive player control: Automated tools are built directly into the account dashboard, allowing players to instantly set deposit limits, cooling-off periods, or self-exclude with a single click.
1 pts	Manual intervention: Responsible gaming tools are offered, but players are forced to email support or message live chat to manually trigger an account closure, introducing dangerous delays.
0 pts	No tools for responsible gambling available, or support agents actively stall or offer bonuses when a player asks to close their account due to a gambling problem.

Next, let’s look on the final score, which is Trust Score.

Trust Score is finally formed by summing up Community Score + My Score.

Trust Score rating scale

Trust Score ranges from 0 to 100.

Here are the score labels with matching colors:

75 – 100	Trusted
62.5 – 74.9	Good
50 – 62.4	Average
35 – 49.9	Risky
0 – 34.9	Avoid

Why the Trust Score scale is how it is?

It would make no sense if all casinos would get Trusted or Good rating. Also, if all casinos would get Risky or Avoid rating, that wouldn’t be so useful either.

That’s why I made my rating system is quite strict, but not too strict either.

Right now, just one casino (Cloudbet) has got a score over 80 (Trusted), and the worst casinos have gotten a Trust Score of around 45/100 (Risky).

That’s the point of a review site right? To separate good crypto casinos from the bad ones, so you can make a better choice.

What casinos can do to boost the Trust Score?

There is a lot of room for the casinos to improve, based on my reviews.

Maybe some casino will pick this site up, and starts to change their reputation on Bitcointalk, Reddit, and other places online? What if some casino answered to all critique and took the negative player experiences seriously?

In the long run, that casino will win the game and win the players to their side.

Also, their Trust Scores on my site would skyrocket, at least after a while when the player sentiment online would improve. This could bring a lot of new players to the casino, which is what all casinos eventually want.

Besides, the crypto casinos with a good reputation online would make tons of money. Just saying.
