Here’s my review of Stake, probably the biggest and most heavily marketed crypto casino in the world.

My verdict

Stake gets a Trust Score of 64.9/100, which is a good result given that my rating scale is pretty strict.

If Stake is evaluated just based on casino software speed and smoothness, liquidity and payment processing, it’s easily one of the best crypto casinos in the world. This is what also the majority of BitcoinTalk people praise about Stake according to my studies.

Stake even survived a $41.3 million hacker attack without any loss of single player funds, so we can be 100% sure that Stake can pay even the biggest wins out.

These days Stake is not a no-KYC casino anymore, so have your IDs ready if you happen to win bigger. Some players have reported they can play with smaller amounts (few hundreds $) with no KYC, but for me a KYC was required before I could even make a deposit.

When these things are summed up: Stake is the biggest crypto casino in the world, withdrawals work well, game selection is huge (with also great RTP Originals games) and community sentiment on BitcoinTalk is very good, I have no hesitation to just recommend Stake 100%. How Community Score is formed: I manually search for user experiences on Stake Casino from Reddit, Bitcointalk and other forums. When I see a legit message (positive, negative) from a legit user with enough karma or merit, I will copy-paste that message to my review txt file. Based on this file, I will calculate the Community Score.

Reddit & Bitcointalk sentiment

Checking the online sentiment for Stake was a different challenge for me. Stake is so popular these days, and people tend to take it for granted, so it was difficult to sort out the legit experience messages from bonus and general chatter.

To be honest, I couldn’t find many legit messages about Stake on Reddit. Reddit is filled with stories of random casino wins and losses, and many messages are made with bots, or are just low value rants.

Like usual for all Trustpilot accounts these days, Stake’s Trustpilot is just worth almost nothing (almost 18k reviews with 4.0/5 stars for Stake), as there’s much bot-sounding positive comments, and 1-star reviews from people who probably lost money in casino games. Stake representatives still answer to almost all reviews, which is great. I didn’t take any comments from Trustpilot.

Bitcointalk was more valuable this time. I searched for ALL messages from about 2 years timeframe from the official Stake thread and I think I got a good feeling how’s Stake doing in 2026.

This is what Bitcointalk players like about Stake:

• According to BitcoinTalk users, technically Stake is still the king, withdrawals happen almost immediately (I can personally also confirm) and even for larger wins, Stake has no problem to pay them out as liquidity is not a problem.
• While Stake hasn’t got traditional deposit bonuses, daily/weekly drops and bonuses are discussed a lot, and they seem to interest players a lot. Also VIP level-up bonuses receive a lot of praise, even though they seem not to be as good as some years ago.
• Stake has also a dedicated Poker client, something that many other casinos don’t have. People liked that.

Bitcointalk people are complaining about these things on Stake:

• VIP support is not on a level that it used to be, and regular customer support may work sometimes better.
• Bonuses have been nerfed a lot and the value is not so good anymore. Also, the Telegram/stream codes are hard to clear and they are often sniped instantly by bots, which sucks.
• Some frustrated players claim that Stake games would be rigged, many veteran members shut these claims down. I also think that Stake couldn’t possibly be in the position it is, if the games were truly rigged. But this is normal that almost all crypto casinos these days get scam accusations from light grounds.
• Also, KYC inquiries receive some negative thoughts, but many players remind that they are just necessary for a huge licensed casino like Stake, which I agree 100%.

Casino overview

I first encountered Stake in June 2019, according to my old review site archives. Back then, Stake was only a small provably fair Bitcoin casino with about 12 (!) games to choose from.

Since then, Stake has grown to a billion dollar mega-casino as you probably already know.

Short casino history

Stake was founded by two Australian entrepreneurs, Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani in 2017. But before that, these two fellows launched PrimeDice in 2013. I also remember that back in my old reviewer days, and I actually reviewed Primedice to my old site a bit later than Stake, in August 2019.

It’s kind of unbelievable when I think the run Stake has made from 2017 to present day. Back in 2017, Stake had only 12 games. Still, the selection was better than on most simple Bitcoin dice sites: there were Blackjack, Roulette, Hilo, Diamond Poker, Keno and Mines to name a few.

Stake’s big expansion and development happened during COVID-19 pandemic. Personally, I missed this phase totally on Stake, as I was away from crypto casino reviewing job somewhere after 2020 (but now I’m back in the game).

Stake decided to turn towards influencer marketing, which was a wise move at the time. Paying streamers like Trainwreckstv, Adin Ross, and xQc millions to gamble live on Twitch was ahead of the competition and worked great to attract new players.

The deal with rapper Drake was also crazy big, with about $100 million annual partnership got a lot of publicity. During this period, Stake’s revenue surged from roughly $100 million to over $2 billion in just two years. This is just crazy.

By 2024, Stake transitioned from a more gray market (or Bitcoin enthusiast) site to a massive sports sponsor. They became the main partner of the Sauber Formula 1 Team (Stake F1 Team) and the UFC. However, regulatory pressure was a new friend. In 2025, Stake officially exited the UK market following a high-profile UK Gambling Commission investigation.

Of course, all businesses have to start somewhere, in the garage or in the one guy’s laptop. Still, I can’t do anything else than admire the huge success Stake has achieved, knowing where it started in 2017.

Stake doesn’t offer any reload bonuses, but there are a lot of weekly and monthly races and raffles available. The full list can be seen on the Stake’s promotions page.

VIP benefits

Stake has an extensive VIP Club. You start with no VIP level. When you reach $10k wager amount, you rise to Bronze level and get a 5% rakeback. This rakeback increases if you get up to higher levels.

Depending on your wager amount, you can rise up to Diamond V level.

Deposits & withdrawals

100% transparency: I test the casinos making few smaller deposits and withdrawals. As a Finnish citizen, everything should work well for me KYC-wise.

However, Community Score follows Reddit & forum sentiment. That tracks KYC policies, high rollers, player experiences all over the world and how withdrawals work on a larger scale.

Deposits 2/2

To access deposits, I had to do a quick ID verification. Images of national ID was ok, and deposits were opened instantly without waiting.

My Litecoin deposits were crazy fast, as only 1 confirmation is enough for Stake. The deposit was notified on Stake’s website in few seconds (!) and funds arrived finally after loooong wait of….about 20 seconds.

There are no fees on deposits and no minimum deposit limits either.

The transaction links are not shown instantly on the deposit screen, but that’s not necessary as the deposits were lightning-fast. All transaction IDs can be found from the “transactions” screen. All good here, so 2/2.

Withdrawals 3/3

Withdrawals are activated once the account verification is done. For me, this took few hours to complete.

Also, withdrawals were superfast in my tests and seemed automatic with no staff approval (at least on my smaller test amounts). After I clicked the withdrawal button, the broadcasting to Litecoin network started immediately. For some reason, the transaction ID didn’t show in the withdrawal screen, but I found it under the “transactions” part in options.

Litecoins arrived to my wallet in about 2-3 minutes. Good job.

It’s easy to notice that Stake doesn’t use basic white-label casino software, but has developed its own. The connection to cryptocurrency networks is seamless, as with many other casinos there is some approval to be done first before the cashier broadcasts the withdrawal to the open. On Stake, it seems that everything just happens, instantly.

Withdrawal limits & terms 2/3

Minimum withdrawal limits are very small. Few examples here: 0.00002504 BTC (around 1€), 0.0185… LTC (0.70€) and 2.5 USDT.

There are withdrawal fees, but they are fairly low starting from about 0.000138 LTC (0.005€), going up to 0.00001571 BTC (0.80€) on Bitcoin and 1 USDT on Tether.

Based on Stake’s own help page, there are no restricions on the maximum withdrawal amount.

The deposit rollover requirement is the standard 1x (anti-money laundering rule), so this is acceptable.

Still, my rating guide for this chapter rewards casinos with no withdrawal fees, so I have to deduct one point from Stake here on the fees. Otherwise everything in order here!

Crypto support 2/2

Stake supports BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC, SOL, DOGE, BCH, XRP, TRX, EOS, BNB, USDC, APE, BUSD, CRO, DAI, LINK, SAND, SHIB, UNI, POL and TRUMP.

Also, the network support is perfect as on USDT you can use ETH – ERC20, BNB – BEP20, POL, TRX and SOL. For USDC the support is the same, except TRX is missing.

So 2/2 for Stake on this section.

Games

Games & providers 3/3

Many sources claim that Stake currently hosts a library of 4000+ game titles. But, on my location (Finland) Stake shows 5400 slots alone from 309 (!) game providers.

So, the total game count lies between 4000 – 6000 games depending on your location, and on some places it might be even more.

Breakdown by game type

• Slots: 4000 – 5400 titles.
• Stake Poker: Many tables of Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Rummy + some special variants like All-in or Fold. There are stakes from $0.01/0.02 up to $2.5/5. Hold’em seems to be the most active with tens of tables open.
• Table games: 50+ tables. These are non-live versions of old table game classics.
• Instant win games (so called Burst games on Stake): 476 titles.
• Originals: 31. In-house developed, provably fair games (like Dice, Plinko, Mines). These are quite popular games on the site due to lower house edges.

As a whole, Stake easily earns 3/3 out of this category.

Live casino 2/2

For live dealer games, Stake has up to 350 tables depending on the time. There is a very extensive selection of Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, and Video Poker.

The live casino game provider list is not hugely extensive (like on slots), but there are still few major ones (Pragmatic Play & Evolution) and few other ones like 155 and Animo Studios.

The search function for live casino is fluent. You can sort tables by providers, and search easily for example “blackjack evolution” which gives you correct results. A score of 2/2 is deserved here.

Originals & fairness 1/2

The selection of Stake Originals is a lot better than with other casinos, as there are 31 different games available when writing this.

The downside is, that at least right now Stake doesn’t inform about the Originals RTPs anywhere. They are not found inside the games in info screen, or there is no special RTP list anywhere (or I just didn’t find it).

The Originals games are Provably Fair, which allows players to verify the algorithmic randomness of every single bet. This is a great thing and pretty standard on all Originals style games.

I had to decide, if I gave Stake 0.5 or 1 point for this, but the better selection turned the score this time to 1/2. If Stake does better in the Originals RTP transparency, a full score of 2/2 is achievable for them.

RTP transparency 0.5/2

Stake Originals used to have good RTPs around 99.0%, but unfortunately in 2026 the RTPs are not displayed anywhere.

A critical finding in current 2026 terms is that Stake has a clause allowing them to request specific RTP settings from providers. For example, a slot that could run at 96.5% might be set to 94.5% on Stake to offset their massive VIP rakeback costs. Specifically, Clause 10.5 states:

At least for my ears, this doesn’t sound very good. It’s really hard (or impossible) to prove if this has happened before, or will happen at some point.

On the positive side, Stake has a special Enhanced RTP slot selection with about 20 slots now to choose from. This is a very good idea, but this enhancement is not opened anywhere.

How much the RTPs are enhanced? What the RTPs were before the enhancement? I guess no one knows.

As a summary, there are positive sides and some negative/questionable sides on this category, so I have to give Stake the basic 0.5/2 points on this category. This would be very easy to change, so Stake, why not do something here?

Betting 1/1

Stake offers one of the most extensive sports and eSports betting section.

• Sportsbook: 35+ categories. Sports types include major leagues (NFL, EPL, NBA) and some niche things like Alpine Skiing or Gaelic Hurling (what is that anyway?).
• eSports: 15+ titles. A dedicated section for Age of Empires, Crossfire, CS2 ( +duels), Dota 2 (+duels), eCricket, FIFA, King of Glory, LoL, Mobile Legends, NBA2K, Rocket League, Starcraft 1 and 2 and Valorant. I wish there was also PUBG.

Usability & support

Desktop usability2.5/3

On usability and readability Stake really excels, as is well known. The website speed is on a very good level, but it’s not lightning snappy-fast as BitStarz today.

In overall, Stake doesn’t compromise readability and usability to the altar of design and outlook, so Stake looks more practical than the usual hazy futuristic cryptocasino-look that is very common these days.

The search function could be more versatile and have more sorting options. For very small negatives on speed and search, Stake earns 2.5/3.

Mobile usability3/3

On mobile, the usability is very good. The speed feels faster on mobile than it’s on desktop (for some reason). All the touch points are big enough and responsive design is flawless.

Personally, I like the Stake’s design choices: usability and readability first, then flashy design. 3/3 here for Stake.

Customer support2.5/4

Customer support is handled through a 24/7 live chat. There is also an email support on support@stake.com.

On my tests, the customer support agent was a bit lazy and just directed me to read the answers by myself. When asked again, the answer was quite lacking and he/she didn’t answer to me directly to my question.

I know this is just a one test, but I will revisit and try again the support another time. Still, in my opinion, great work culture and great support structures create great support experiences. I think Stake could do something here to give agents better possibilities to answer better (education etc?).

For now, Stake gets 2.5/4 on customer support.

(Personally I know this well as I have worked part time in a Finnish cell phone company phone & email customer service during my studies for 5-6 years. Great times…but customer service is a demanding job.)

Security & transparency

On this chapter I will scan the terms & conditions, inspect the KYC policy & general casino reputation.

Licensing & transparency 2/2

Stake is operated by Medium Rare N.V., based in Curaçao.

There are also European subsidiaries (like lower level sub-companies) located in Cyprus (Medium Rare Limited and MRS Tech Ltd). This structure might be there to get more possibilities in the banking sectors and money transfers.

License: Stake is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under license number OGL/2024/1451/0918, which is pretty basic stuff for almost all crypto casinos. And at the same time, the “best” license that crypto casinos can get, being still quite weak compared to real money casino licenses like UK or Malta.

T&C Fairness 1/2

I read through the Stake terms & conditions and here are the most important findings.

• A fair thing: No withdrawal limits, allowing players to cash out an unrestricted maximum of funds instantly via crypto.
• The baseline deposit rollover is a fair 100% (1x wager requirement) for both fiat and crypto. This is standard and acceptable.
• Clause 10.5 is quite suspicious one: Stake reserves the right to adjust the house edge of any slot game at its sole discretion without prior notice, disclaiming all liability if a player relies on discrepancies between the in-game displayed RTP and Stake’s adjusted metrics.
  • I am monitoring this situation, as there is no proof that Stake has used or will use this clause. I will report right away if I find some evidence on this.
• Leaving your account unused more than 12 months will trigger an automated account suspension.
• Furthermore, clause 3.4 outlines that terms can be changed at any time without advanced notice, placing the full burden of discovery on the player.

VPN usage: Not allowed if a player tries to use a VPN to play from a prohibited country (like the US or Australia).

There are some fair things and some not so fair here, so I give Stake 1/2 on this.

KYC Policy 1/2

KYC and anonymity: Clause 4.8 grants Stake the right to demand KYC documents “at any time” it deems necessary.

Additionally, KYC triggers are tied to a “withdrawal threshold dependent on the account’s risk characterisation over the life of the account,” meaning the exact trigger points remain unclear.

However, in my tests (from Finland region), KYC was required right away to even activate deposits. So this may vary per region, if a KYC is required before deposits.

If you happen to make a deposit without a KYC on Stake, playing with smaller deposits (like under 1 000€ or 2 000€) may be ok without KYC triggers. But playing above that and requesting large withdrawals will almost certainly trigger an ID request.

Reputation & history 2/2

Established originally in 2017, Stake has grown into a market leader for cryptocurrency gambling. It maintains a pretty solid reputation across many communities like Bitcointalk and Reddit.

In my opinion, popularity and success means high liquidity, and I am almost guaranteed that Stake will not have problems paying you out even on the most extreme jackpots.

A good tip among Redditors is this: complete your KYC verification right away before you may win big on the site. This way you may have less problems in the time of a big withdrawal as your KYC things are in order already.

A small thing about solvency & trust: According to Stake T&C Clause 9.1: Player funds are held in segregated customer bank accounts and crypto wallets. This means user deposits are not used for the company’s operational expenses or marketing budgets, greatly reducing the risk of a liquidity crisis.

When evaluating Stake’s history, a bigger problem happened in September 2023, when Stake suffered a high-profile security breach by North Korean Lazarus Group, resulting in the theft of about $41.3 million in crypto from their hot wallets. While Stake absorbed the loss entirely from their own reserves and no user funds were impacted, it highlighted the risks if you hold bigger crypto amounts in your personal accounts. After this event, there hasn’t been any security breaches on Stake at least according to my search on the matter.

I have to give Stake 2/2 on this, as the breach didn’t have any effect on the players’ funds.

Responsible gambling 2/2

Stake provides a simple Stake Smart portal. If a player loses control, they can initiate a self-exclusion ranging from 6 months to permanently. Once applied, the T&C states this can’t be canceled under any circumstances. Basic stuff that’s good to be there when needed.

Technical security

Website security: Stake uses a standard SSL technology and encrypted databases.

Account security: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is available and is highly recommended imho.

Final thoughts

When I work hard and write hard, I get hungry. Now it’s time for a juicy steak, preferably medium-rare. Wait…what was the Stake casino’s company name again?
